About Sarah Dowler

Law Clerk In St. Louis, MO

Sarah grew up in St. Charles County, where she first discovered her interest in the law while working as a paralegal. She gained hands-on experience in both civil litigation and family law, which laid the foundation for her decision to pursue law school. She is currently a third-year law student at the University of Missouri-Columbia and will graduate in May 2025.

During law school, she interned with Judge Thomas Albus at the St. Louis County Circuit Court and with the Missouri State Public Defender’s Office in the post-conviction relief unit. Drawn to civil litigation, she has continued to build her experience by clerking with firms focused on civil defense.

Sarah is especially passionate about advocacy. In the 2024-2025 academic year, she served as Director of the Wassinger Mock Trial Competition for the Mizzou Law Board of Advocates. She also worked as a Rule 13 certified student attorney in the Child and Family Justice Clinic, where she provided pro bono representation to survivors of domestic violence in orders of protection and child custody cases, earning the “Zealous Advocate” award for her outstanding work. This semester, she is a student advocate in the Veterans Clinic, assisting veterans with disability compensation and discharge upgrade claims.

In her free time, Sarah enjoys attending concerts and traveling with her family.
