Courtney graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a B.A. in Business Management where she was a Merit Scholarship Recipient, was on the Dean’s List and the National Honor Society, and was a Disability Resource Center Notetaker. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Saint Louis University School of Law where she was a Dean’s Select Scholarship Recipient, was recognized on the Dean’s List, received Academic Excellence Awards in IP Survey, Copyright, Negotiations, and IP Licensing, and participated in Trial Advocacy, SBA Softball, Student Intellectual Property Law Association, and the Cannabis Law Society.
While in law school, Courtney was an intern at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri, completed two in-house externships at a full-service entertainment company, and also clerked at a highly respected St. Louis firm. With an eye towards the future, Courtney spent her 3L year at SLU conducting research and staying abreast of legal developments surrounding AI.
