Firm co-founder, Bill Thomas, nationally accredited for his construction law practice, has been recognized as one of only 30 lawyers in the State of Missouri to make their “Power List” of construction lawyers in their December 2023 issue. Bill adds this recognition to being named “Lawyer of the Year” by Best Lawyers in 2022 and 2023 for Construction Litigation and Construction Law, respectively.
The “Power List” recognition was a result of the Missouri Lawyers Media editorial team’s intensive research and vetting process, which included interviews with practicing attorneys, review of their database of verdicts and settlements, and consultation with Missouri Lawyers Weekly’s archives to arrive at a list of what they believe were the “most powerful attorneys in construction law in Missouri.”
Bill’s construction law practice is varied, and spans the lifecycle of projects, from start to finish, and beyond. He is passionate about representing creative, conscientious companies and professionals and fashioning solutions to the complex issues they face. He performs up-front contract creation or negotiation and assists with risk assessment, aiding in loss prevention or dispute solutions. If a claim or litigation develops he works hard for his clients to achieve the best result.
He is also a panelist arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association and a Fellow in the Construction Lawyers Society of America. He serves on the International Association of Defense Counsel’s construction law committee and is active in the American Bar Association’s Construction Forum.
