In her legal work, Ms. Bertelsman is passionate about providing powerful solutions to complex legal issues through innovative legal writing, research, and oral advocacy. Ms. Bertelsman’s highly skilled medical record review and analysis helps craft a robust defense that takes cases to the next level. Additionally, Ms. Bertelsman is an accomplished writer. She is a columnist for the St. Louis Bar Journal and has completed two highly regarded theses. While in law school, she participated in Jessup Moot Court from 2019 – 2021 and was awarded the Benjamin Xue & Associates, Phillip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition Student Award in 2020 and 2021. She was a founding member of the Students for Mental Health and Wellness organization at Saint Louis University School of Law, was a Student Ambassador, and a Saint Louis University School of Law Dean’s Scholar.
Ms. Bertelsman attended the University of Kansas and graduated with honors in 2017 in both History and Sociology. From 2018 through 2021, she attended Saint Louis University School of Law and earned her Juris Doctor in 2021. Her concentration was in International and Comparative Law.
Throughout college and law school, Ms. Bertelsman worked as both a legal secretary and a legal clerk. She has over 6 years of legal work experience both domestically and internationally. She now lives in St. Louis. In her free time, Ms. Bertelsman enjoys working with the St. Patrick’s Center, scuba diving, skiing, travel, and history.
